Apple iPhone 9 now available for pre-order on Chinese website ahead of launch

Smartphone giant Apple is about to release its iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2020 on April 15. But even before the official launch of the device, Chinese e-commerce JD.com has listed the device and started taking pre-orders.

JD.com will start shipping the device between May 1 and May 10, according to GizmoChina.

Apple had planned the launch of the iPhone 9 for March 2020 but due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the launch event got postponed. After the outbreak of COVID-19, Apple stores are closed around the world except in China.

iPhone 9 will be available in three variant – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of internal storage clubbed with 3 GB RAM. Considering the specs that highly matches with iPhone 8, Apple might stuff the iPhone with 1,821 mAh battery.

The upcoming device is expected to use the same A13 processor as the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Plus. Apple will release it in three color options, namely – Red, Black, and White.

Rumours suggest that the iPhone 9 will look somehow similar to its predecessor iPhone 8.

iPhone 9 with a 4.7-inch display, would be larger than the original iPhone SE and will start with a price tag of $399. Apple currently sells its iPhone 8 starting at $449.
