We all know iPhone cameras are very good and come with a lot of features. But we all aren’t that tech-savvy and know all of the features. The camera capability of iPhones is very good, only if you know how to use it to its full potential. So below we have some tips and tricks to get the most out of the iPhone’s camera app to get better pictures or to click pictures faster.

Quickly Open iPhone Camera App

Often we come across a perfect view and scene but we just miss it because we were late in opening the camera app. Or weer finding the camera app. Until we open the camera app the scene is gone and just missed the perfect shot. So here are a few of the fastest ways to open the camera app on an iPhone. If your phone is locked just tap the screen to wake up and swipe left to quickly open the camera.

Alternatively, you can add the camera app on the dock of the home screen so that you won’t need to find the camera app next time when you are in hurry and you won’t be needed to swipe screens to find the screen. Since the dock remains the same across the home screen.

Apart from these two open the control center and tap on the camera icon present there it will directly take you to the camera app.

Keep these tricks in handy to quickly click the pictures without missing the perfect shots.

Turn On the Camera Grid to Improve framing

One of the nifty features of the iPhone’s camera app is the addition of grid lines. The grid lines help you frame the picture better and improve the overall image composition. It also lets you decide whether the picture you are clicking is straight or not. So to turn on the gridlines n your iPhone’s camera app all you have to do is go to settings and then select camera.

Ensure the grid option is toggled on. That’s it you may now open the camera App and see two horizontal lines and two vertical lines. With the help of these lines, you can keep the subject in the center and ensure your iPhone is straight.

Choose the perfect shooting Mode for the perfect situation

The camera App of iPhone has several shooting modes for photos and videos. You can swipe left or right to change the modes while in the camera app. There are options like Panorama, Potrati, photo, Video, Time Lapse, and Slo-mo.’

You can use Panorama mode to click a picture of a landscape or a picture which isn’t coming in the viewf9nder so you can just pan around and your iPhone will stitch them together. Portrait photos click photos like a DSLR and blur the background to give a bokeh effect.

Photo and video mode will just click normal photos and videos and nothing major. Time Lapse records the timelapse videos which you can use for blogging or when you want to capture it in a fancy way.

Slo-Mo as the name says it captures videos in slow motion to give you that dramatic style of video recording.

Switching the Lens on iPhone 11 and 12

If you have iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max or any of the iPhone from the latest iPhone 12 series. You must know that your iPhone has an ultrawide lens as well. You can switch to ultrawide to capture more. To switch to the ultrawide lens for capturing photos just open the camera app and right above the shutter button you will see three buttons saying .5x, 1x and 2. Just tap on 0.5 and your iPhone will switch to the ultrawide lens.

Clicking 1x will bring back to the normal man camera lens. On Pro models of iPhone, you can even switch to a telephoto zoom lens by clicking on the 2x button.
