'SNL' producer Lindsay Shookus leaves show after 20 years: 'Forever grateful'

The six-time Emmy winner declined another role after dating Ben Affleck on the show.

Lindsay Shookus has departed NBC's "SNL."

Six-time Emmy winner, 42, announced leave on Instagram Friday.

"After 20 seasons (and 415 live shows) at SNL, I've chosen to walk on," she said in a photo caption.

"When I started in 2002, I was a baby from Buffalo, NY who didn't know anything about the business.

I found my niche at SNL, where I've made wonderful friendships and memories with intelligent and talented people.

The New York native met her ex-husband, former "SNL" producer Kevin Miller, through the programme.

"My sweet, witty girl brightens every day," Shookus wrote.

Shookus said she was delighted to spend more time with Maddie.
