Influencer Andrew Tate banned from Facebook and Instagram

Andrew Tate has been banned from Facebook and Instagram by Meta.

The former kickboxer gained prominence in 2016 after being evicted from Big Brother for a video showing him beating a woman.

Twitter banned him for claiming women should "take responsibility" for sexual assaults.

When his account was deleted, he had 4.7 million followers.

That number has climbed significantly from around one million followers in June.

Meta suspended the kickboxing star from its platforms for breaking its prohibitions on hazardous organisations and individuals.

Mr Tate alleged the film was modified when he was removed from Big Brother, calling it "a pure fraud"

He hasn't remarked on Meta ban.
